Lead Product Manager – Ad Formats

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for ad formats and placements across Yelp's primary surfaces.

• Define and experiment with new ad formats and layouts, focusing on how ad content adapts based on business type, context, and user intent.

• Lead the integration of advertising into the evolving Yelp experiences, including Yelp Assistant, our AI-driven chat interface.

• Improve the UX and design of ad units to enhance relevance, performance, and the overall consumer experience.

• Collaborate with the Data Science team to design experiments, establish success metrics, and analyze results, including evaluating tradeoffs between user experience and advertiser performance.

• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Search Product, and Ads teams to implement changes that positively impact metrics on Yelp's most-visited surfaces.

• Engage with Ads Auction and Ranking to understand how format decisions influence targeting and delivery systems.

• Proven experience as a Product Manager in advertising, monetization, or search.

• Effective communicator: capable of synthesizing and conveying information between technical and non-technical audiences across stakeholders with intricate tradeoffs.

• Tech savvy: experienced in addressing challenging, technically complex advertising and product issues.

• Strong collaborator: thrives on working across various teams, functions, and product surfaces.

• Operational expertise: focused on enhancing processes related to ads system reliability and metrics monitoring, consistently seeking ways to improve efficiency.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
