This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the complete accounts area, which includes account models, onboarding/lifecycle, KYC/KYB, sub-accounts/multi-accounts, and IRA cross-work.
• Execute personally across multiple ongoing initiatives simultaneously, not merely coordinating them from a higher level, but also delivering on the most strategically significant projects yourself.
• Streamline the exposure of account APIs and internal systems, including adapting a “single” KYC/KYB interface for various account types, jurisdictions, and partner operating models.
• Navigate build-vs-buy, partner-vs-direct, and onshore-vs-offshore decisions within the area; adjust the roadmap based on real constraints such as regulatory deadlines, partner requests, and engineering capacity.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, broker-dealer operations, compliance, legal, partnerships, success, and sales to prioritize initiatives that balance regulatory risk, operational demands, revenue impact, and time-to-market.
• Lead discovery sessions with partners and prospects to understand critical requirements, transform needs into prioritized roadmaps, push back on requests that do not align with the platform, and provide transparent timelines and scope.
• Influence pricing and packaging decisions where account products necessitate different operational handling, engaging with commercial and operations stakeholders to ensure alignment between offerings and scalable delivery capabilities.
• Facilitate the global expansion of account capabilities as Alpaca broadens its regional broker-dealer presence, including regional account structures, tax-advantaged or retirement-like products, and jurisdiction-specific regulations (both US and non-US).
• Define and track adoption metrics across accounts, such as onboarding funnel health, API adoption, time to first funded account, verification pass rates, partner-reported obstacles, and operational throughput; willing to discontinue or revise features that fail to drive adoption rather than declaring them complete at launch.
• Elevate the quality of work produced in the accounts area by mentoring fellow PMs, establishing quality standards, and removing obstacles for adjacent teams.
• Over 10 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, or entrepreneurship, with senior individual contributor responsibilities in a regulated identity, accounts, or brokerage environment.
• Proven end-to-end ownership of an accounts-related surface at production scale, covering at least two of the following: KYC/identity verification, new account types (entity/joint/custodial/trust), sub-accounts/multi-accounts, IRA/tax-advantaged account structures.
• Direct experience with US accounts/identity regulatory frameworks, including FINRA KYC/AML, FATCA, IRS entity regulations, beneficial ownership/CDD, and OFAC screening.
• A history of setting and executing a roadmap at the area level across multiple concurrent workstreams, rather than merely delivering a single product.
• Demonstrated capability to function as a senior product owner who raises the bar for quality in their vicinity—mentoring colleagues, establishing quality standards, and representing the area in cross-functional and leadership forums without holding a managerial title.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; adept at leading partner-facing discussions, regulator-adjacent meetings, and internal leadership updates.
• Experience in data analysis using SQL and a relevant business intelligence tool.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
• Competitive Salary & Stock Options
• Health Benefits
• New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500
• Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card
