Lead Product Designer, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality interactive experiences for mobile platforms, including both iOS and Android, as well as web applications.

• Oversee projects throughout the complete design lifecycle, from initial creative ideation to production and launch.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to define strategy and develop a roadmap aimed at achieving business goals (growth).

• Provide feedback and guidance to fellow designers, continuously elevating the quality standards within the team.

• Assess existing processes, pinpoint best practices, formulate plans to achieve objectives, and implement enhancements.

• Leverage and contribute to the Step Design System.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive demonstrated experience in end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design specifically for consumer-facing products.

• Strong visual design sensibility, capable of seamlessly transitioning between structured UI and more expressive, brand-focused elements.

• A detail-oriented designer who is passionate about their craft and committed to delivering high-quality work.

• Proven ability to lead design efforts on significant projects, with experience in delegating tasks and guiding other designers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of design choices and the rationale behind them.

• Ability to think strategically about product vision and strategy (considering not only 'how it should look' but also 'what we should create').

• Experience in developing and launching applications or software (mobile/web).

• Utilizes AI as a tool to enhance creativity and productivity, capable of working more efficiently and exploring a variety of ideas without compromising quality or judgment.

• A portfolio showcasing examples of your design work is required.
