This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Transform product and experience requirements into scalable design system solutions utilizing reusable components, patterns, foundational elements, and guidance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop a scalable, technically coherent, accessible, globally inclusive, and adoptable design system.
• Assess product designs and pinpoint opportunities for standardization and reusable system assets.
• Work alongside UX, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Brand, and other cross-functional teams.
• Lead strategic initiatives for the design system and assist in roadmap planning.
• Advocate for design quality through accessibility reviews, implementation validation, and stewardship of the system.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure code quality, parity, and maintainability.
• Contribute to the governance, standards, and evaluation of requests for the design system.
• Promote system adoption through consultation, education, documentation, and engagement with partners.
• Evaluate adoption rates and enhance the experiences of designers and developers.
• Mentor designers and encourage collaboration, continuous learning, systems thinking, and a commitment to design excellence.
• Manage Figma libraries, documentation, release communications, design reviews, and team workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related fields.
• 5–8+ years of experience in Product Design or UX Design.
• 3+ years of focused experience in contributing to and evolving enterprise design systems across various products or platforms.
• A portfolio showcasing scalable design patterns, systematic approaches to complex UI challenges, and cohesive accessible experiences across platforms.
• Strong proficiency in visual design, interaction quality, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, variables, design tokens, Auto Layout, and scalable library management.
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and a commitment to inclusive design practices.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, React, or similar front-end technologies.
• Experience with the design-to-code workflow, including design specifications, Storybook, design QA, implementation validation, and design-code parity.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• An online portfolio to accompany the resume/CV is required.
• Preferred: experience with design system analytics, adoption metrics, internationalization/localization, accessibility audits, automation, AI-assisted workflows, MCPs, or Figma plugins.
