Lead Product Designer – Benefits Servicing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and direct the comprehensive design strategy for Humana’s medical benefits experience, ensuring a user-centric approach that aligns with organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and analytics teams to create and execute innovative solutions that simplify and enhance essential benefit-related tasks for members.

• Champion user research and leverage data-driven insights to guide design choices and evaluate their impact.

• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and industry best practices in design across all medical benefits interactions.

• Partner with other Product and Design teams to ensure a seamless and cohesive user experience throughout the member journey.

• Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale and value.

• Cultivate a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the design team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, related fields, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating significant digital product outcomes.

• More than 3 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing designers.

• Proven track record in designing intricate, end-to-end user journeys, ideally within healthcare, insurance, or similarly intricate sectors.

• Extensive expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and service design.

• Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma.

• Strong grasp of user research methods and the ability to translate insights into impactful design solutions.

• Exceptional communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to balance strategic thinking with practical design execution and team leadership.

• Strong business acumen, with a proven ability to link design solutions to measurable outcomes such as enhanced retention, improved customer satisfaction, or decreased operational costs.
