Lead Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee product design initiatives and/or manage small design teams as required.

• Participate as a senior individual contributor based on the needs of the engagement.

• Enhance existing products to realize quantifiable improvements in usability, conversion rates, or workflow efficiency.

• Make and justify visual and UI choices for forms, workflows, CTAs, structure, and layout.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on live implementations and identify interface-related issues.

• Clearly communicate design decisions and the problems they address to engineers and executives.

• Conduct cross-functional workshops.

• Lead business review meetings and strategic planning discussions with senior stakeholders.

• Design software for regulated or enterprise sectors and third-party platforms when relevant.

• Guide and develop other designers through mentorship and constructive critique when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, preferably including consultancy, agency, or embedded-team experience with direct client or stakeholder engagement.

• Capability to lead a project or small team while also contributing as a senior individual contributor.

• Proven success in enhancing existing products with measurable gains in usability, conversion rates, or workflow efficiency.

• Strong visual and UI judgment concerning forms, workflows, CTAs, structure, and layout.

• Proficiency in collaborating closely with engineering on live implementations and assessing interfaces.

• Ability to articulate design decisions and the challenges they address to engineers and executives.

• Experience in facilitating cross-functional workshops and leading business review or strategic planning sessions with senior stakeholders.

• Background in designing for regulated or enterprise sectors is a plus.

• Experience in designing software embedded within third-party platforms is advantageous.

• Familiarity with established component libraries and design systems like MUI is beneficial.

• Experience in mentoring or advancing the skills of other designers is a plus.

• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript skills are a plus.

• A degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is a plus.
