Lead Platform Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and define the technical trajectory for iOS and Android mobile platforms.

• Drive enhancements in mobile architecture, engineering standards, and development methodologies.

• Tackle technical debt and platform obstacles to enhance application speed, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with mobile and product teams to refine software development, testing, and release procedures.

• Strike a balance between platform enhancements and product delivery timelines.

• Share expertise, inform technical choices, and mentor mobile engineers.

• Provide support for critical mobile infrastructure, security, and dependency updates throughout SalonBiz as necessary.

• Extensive hands-on experience in mobile engineering for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Proven experience in leading technical projects and influencing architectural and engineering choices.

• Strong grasp of mobile platform architecture, performance, reliability, and security aspects.

• Capability to recognize technical challenges, prioritize enhancements, and devise practical solutions.

• Confidence in collaborating with both engineering and product teams.

• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative mindset.

• Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing, mentoring others, and pursuing continuous improvement.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
