• Comprehend, define, and analyze piping and pipe supports to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Leverage knowledge and experience to effectively resolve issues and deliver results to clients.
• Collaborate with teams across GVH to devise strategies for addressing technical challenges.
• Communicate potential solutions and project status efficiently within the organization.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members and projects.
• Assist with procurement and subcontracting activities as necessary.
• Represent GVH at industry conferences, including ASME meetings.
• Maintain and enhance technical design procedures related to piping and pipe support analysis activities.
• Accountable for delivering high-quality engineering analyses.
• Engage with clients to define project scope, review outcomes, and discuss technical risks.
• Collaborate with clients alongside engineering leadership and project management.
• Interact with cross-functional teams and departments essential for completing assigned tasks.
• Enhance project execution and departmental management using lean methodology and Design to Cost principles.
• Provide thorough and accurate analysis documentation in line with GE engineering protocols.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers to enhance overall expertise while ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Conduct and support analyses of various mechanical components and structures based on team requirements.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Other Engineering Disciplines may be considered based on relevant work experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in piping and/or pipe supports analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in the Nuclear Industry.
• A Master's Degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with ASME Section III analysis, including subsections NB, NC/ND, and NF.
• Experience in ASME Section III Class 1 Fatigue design.
• Familiarity with piping and pipe support analysis software such as PIPESTRESS, AutoPIPE, Caesar, and GT STRUDL.
