Engineer, Builder Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identify shared design and implementation requirements across application engineering teams

• Create and sustain high-quality documentation, reference architectures, and implementation guides

• Develop reusable components such as Terraform modules or similar

• Collaborate with enterprise platform and foundation teams to comprehend existing capabilities

• Work with architects to convert architectural principles into actionable guidance

• Contribute to and enhance AI-assisted developer workflows

• Assess and select the appropriate medium for training and enablement

• Collect feedback from application teams and refine paved paths accordingly

• Assist in recognizing gaps in platform capabilities or the developer experience

• Promote a developer-centric approach to platform adoption

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

• Over 6 years of relevant professional experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in building and managing production software systems

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern infrastructure practices, including infrastructure-as-code (CFT, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)

• Proven ability to develop clear, practical technical guidance

• Experience in translating intricate systems or platform capabilities into accessible patterns and abstractions for other developers

• Familiarity with developer workflows and tools (CI/CD, local development, deployment patterns)

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, especially with platform, infrastructure, and application engineers

• Excellent communication skills

• A practical mindset, prioritizing usability, adoption, and real-world effectiveness over theoretical elegance.
