• Map and enhance end-to-end workflows: Lead both current and future-state process mapping across People initiatives to remove friction, minimize manual effort, and expedite execution.
• Identify root causes: Challenge existing assumptions and assist leaders in determining whether a bottleneck is due to a process flaw, systems limitation, or a change management issue.
• Create scalable standards: Define documentation, handoffs, and governance frameworks to ensure teams operate with consistency and low variability as Wealthsimple grows.
• Convert needs into technical specifications: Collaborate with our People Systems team to transform business challenges into actionable specifications, identifying opportunities where AI agents, LLM tools, or native Workday workflows can yield the highest ROI.
• Utilize practical AI judgment: Recognize the appropriate tool for each task—distinguishing when a problem requires AI leverage, standard automation, or mere process simplification.
• Define and monitor metrics: Set baseline and target metrics (cycle time, throughput, error rates, cost savings) and create post-launch dashboards to ensure ongoing adoption and measurable impact.
• Integrate systems and data: Work closely with IT, People Systems, and People Analytics to ensure all automations are built upon robust data architecture and supported by effective feedback loops.
• Facilitate critical alignment: Lead future-state mapping and design workshops across cross-functional teams—keeping discussions focused, driving key decisions, and securing clear ownership.
• Drive change management: Foster adoption through clear communication, assisting teams in clarifying roles, establishing scalable habits, and navigating ambiguity during transitional periods.
• Enhance AI capabilities: Improve the broader People team’s technological fluency through practical experiments, hands-on learning, and shared tools.
• Over 5 years of experience in People Operations, HR transformation, process excellence, management consulting, or related fields within complex, scaling organizations, with a proven record of redesigning cross-functional processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Workday—not in terms of configuration ownership, but with sufficient fluency in its data model, workflows, and capabilities to translate a process issue into a viable Workday-based solution and draft requirements the Workday team can implement.
• Practical familiarity with AI tools and agent-driven workflows.
• Strong systems-thinking skills, with the ability to connect strategy, operations, employee experience, data, and technology into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent facilitation skills: capable of leading a workshop with skeptical stakeholders and achieving a clear process map, agreed-upon requirements, and actionable next steps.
• Ability to seamlessly transition between strategic planning and hands-on execution—you draft the brief and execute the tasks.
• Clear and concise written communication: you will frequently translate operational complexities into technical specifications and stakeholder-ready narratives.
• Comprehensive health benefits and life insurance.
• Long-term group savings plan with employer match through Wealthsimple for Business.
• 20 vacation days, 4 wellness days, and unlimited sick and mental health days each year.
• Opportunity to work outside Canada for up to 90 days per year.
• Participation in employee resource groups, including Rainbow (2SLGBTQ), Women of WS, and Black at WS.
