Lead Partner – SME Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in leading the SME Risk team to implement Secondsight’s Health & Protection Proposition.

• Reporting to the Head of Health and Protection, this role entails guiding the SME risk team while actively managing an existing portfolio, delivering a high-quality consulting and advisory service to clients.

• Manage our PPA and collaborate with leading risk insurers.

• As a Line Manager, take direct responsibility for the daily management of the team, including effective resourcing, task delegation, performance management (through monthly continuous performance reviews), and team development and engagement.

• Hold overall responsibility for a portfolio of protection schemes for a diverse range of corporate clients, which will encompass:

• Conducting Fact Find/initial advice calls.

• Preparing quote specifications, reviewing quotations, negotiating with insurers, and drafting review/renewal reports.

• Participating in Face-to-Face and telephone advice meetings with clients.

• Identifying additional revenue opportunities.

• Responding to and managing inbound calls from clients, employees, and benefit providers.

• Ensuring adherence to the new business process for prospects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in the group risk market as either an adviser or a supplier.

• Prior management experience in a managerial or team leader capacity.

• Profound understanding of life and Group Income Protection claims management.

• Excellent knowledge of Protection and Healthcare products along with their respective markets.

• Established track record of building rapport and cultivating strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Ability to create new revenue opportunities from existing clients and convert new prospects.

• Experience in engaging with client owners beyond the immediate team to build credibility, gain trust, and generate client introductions.

• Skilled in negotiating with providers to secure the best possible terms.
