This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.
• Conduct installation and maintenance service tasks on Power Transformers and/or AIS circuit breakers & disconnectors and/or GIS switchgear within the high and medium voltage domains.
• Implement the latest advancements in high-voltage technology while ensuring the reliability of established technologies.
• Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of both AIS & GIS systems, making certain that all operations adhere strictly to project specifications and the manufacturer's operational procedures and guidelines.
• Serve as the main contact for customers concerning HV switching coordination and power control, and assist in site-specific maintenance planning.
• Facilitate daily "Safety Moments" and communicate the testing plan to all stakeholders every morning to foster a zero-harm environment.
• Oversee site progress through meticulous time management, delivering daily reports to stakeholders and regular updates to the Line Manager and Project Manager.
• Proactively detect and address potential additional costs or deviations to avoid overspending and support claims for project modifications.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure all testing, measuring, and electrical safety equipment is calibrated, certified, and suitable for use.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in grid networks, with a solid background as an Installation & Commissioning Engineer in the high and medium voltage sectors (experience as a Site Commissioning Manager is preferred).
• Thorough understanding of Power Transformers and/or AIS circuit breakers & disconnectors and/or GIS switchgear in the high and medium voltage range.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); familiarity with MS Project is advantageous.
• Experience with industry testing tools is a plus (e.g., Omicron, Megger, etc.).
• Professional fluency in Kazakh and/or Russian; a good command of English (both written and spoken) is essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, often for extended durations, including to remote and international locations, frequently on short notice.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and possess practical driving experience.
