Lead Mechanical Engineer – Electrical Modules

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of FPSO E-House projects, ensuring that deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

• Create and evaluate designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation for various systems, including HVAC, heat exchangers, fire detection, fire suppression, gas detection, Inergen, piping, mechanical handling, and safety systems.

• Manage engineering outputs, ensuring document quality, timely delivery, and resolution of customer feedback.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Customer, GE, Module Fabricator, and Sub-suppliers, offering technical guidance across all stakeholders.

• Ensure that designs adhere to health & safety regulations, international standards, and class society guidelines, and lead the review of technical drawings, layouts, isometric drawings, and 3D model contributions.

• Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), testing and commissioning procedures, and provide technical support to Sales and ComOps during the bidding process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

• Over 10 years of experience in a comparable position within FPSO, offshore oil & gas, marine, power, or utilities sectors.

• Extensive experience in the offshore marine field, particularly with FPSO E-House.

• Technical expertise in systems such as HVAC, heat exchangers, fire detection and suppression, gas detection, Inergen, piping, and mechanical handling.

• Background in design engineering, field engineering, manufacturing, shop assembly, or support for spare/replacement parts.

• Proficiency in reading and writing technical specifications.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and commercial insight.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
