Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Sourced Hardware

📋 Description

• Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering point of contact for the designated supplier base.

• Responsible for the technical performance of multiple suppliers, necessitating frequent travel (25-50%).

• Proactively leads problem-solving initiatives related to delivery, collaborating with external supplier teams as well as internal GE fulfillment, commercial, and quality team members to facilitate solutions.

• Drives numerous projects aimed at improving delivery and manufacturability.

• Advises and influences supplier performance through the development of manufacturing expertise.

• Engages in supplier selection based on value considerations.

• Collaborates with commercial owners to ensure that supplier choices deliver the expected value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Management.

• Proficiency in programming or providing mechanical support for fabrication and/or traditional machining methods (milling, turning, broach, welding) and/or non-traditional methods (EDM, 3D printing).

• Ability to apply evidence-based analytical thinking to identify the relationships between issues and create practical solutions that address underlying root causes.

• Experience in leading and participating in improvement projects and problem-solving initiatives.
