Lead Machine Learning Engineer – Robotics, Computer Vision

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the AI/ML core for the robotics automation product, ensuring alignment with the technical strategy set by the CTO and Co-founder.

• Develop custom training loops and design as well as implement neural network architectures.

• Oversee the complete ML lifecycle, from processing raw data to training, fine-tuning, and deploying on edge devices.

• Create the AI/ML components for the MVP, which includes necessary hardware control interfaces.

• Suggest and assist in defining the AI/ML stack and model architecture.

• Keep abreast of trends in AI, computer vision, and robotics.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO while mentoring aspiring AI/ML engineers.

• Convert customer feedback and market demands into solid AI/ML technical specifications.

• Foster a culture of code quality, ownership, rapid iteration, and high execution standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of comprehensive experience in Deep Learning, covering data processing, architecture design, training models from scratch, and deep fine-tuning.

• Advanced expertise in modern deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.

• Capability to create custom data loaders and loss functions.

• Practical experience in computer vision, including CNNs, ViTs, object detection, and segmentation.

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying ML components in production-ready products.

• A solid mathematical foundation.

• A pragmatic, analytical mindset suitable for startups, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and uncertain environments.

• Proficiency in both Polish and English, both spoken and written.

• Experience with hardware control or integrating AI models with physical systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, simulation environments, or control systems is an asset.

• Experience in robotics automation platforms, cloud-edge architecture, or industrial automation is beneficial.

• A background in deep-tech, robotics, or engineering-driven startups is a plus.

• Prior leadership experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.

• Legal authorization to work in the EU is required.
