This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Input and oversee installation prospects in the CRM to create precise monthly forecasts.
• Conduct site surveys for installations to evaluate feasibility and plan execution within the CRM.
• Generate scopes of work and customer-oriented installation quotes in the CRM.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and branch staff to schedule installations using Microsoft Field Service, ensuring adherence to customer commitment dates.
• Implement installations following the defined scope of work, safety protocols, and program guidelines.
• Adhere to the installation playbook from the arrival of equipment at the customer location to successful startup.
• Oversee the installation request inbox.
• Manage scheduling and completion timelines in the CRM, relaying information to customers and branch leadership.
• Update final pricing in CRM opportunities to align with financial goals.
• Stay informed about current organizational practices, industry standards, and equipment knowledge.
• Communicate Hobart Service value propositions for future service offerings post machine warranty expiration.
• Maintain company vehicles and manage installation material-handling equipment.
• Adhere to the company’s safe-driving policy and other relevant safety regulations.
• Compile and summarize data for supervisors or branch managers to support customer-centric strategies and sales efforts.
• Conduct visual safety inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects.
• Prioritize workloads, special assignments, and simultaneous projects.
• Perform site visits, prepare quotes, and lead installation teams.
• Provide timely updates to customers regarding installation progress.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of formal technical training and at least ten years of relevant experience.
• Experience in equipment installation or a related field.
• Proficient in PC operations and Microsoft application suite.
• Capability to read and interpret standard service manuals, installation manuals, and mechanical diagrams.
• Basic math skills, including percentages and measurement conversions.
• Fundamental knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety regulations.
• Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to climb up to 10 ft using an A-frame ladder.
• Occasional roof access via extension or fixed ladders exceeding 20 feet.
• Significant walking, approximately 3–5 miles daily.
• Extensive driving, around 5–6 hours daily.
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, push/pull, and work in tight or confined spaces.
• Competence in operating motor vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and power tools.
• Availability to work standard business hours, as well as early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and extended hours as required.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet critical deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
