This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Input and oversee installation prospects in the CRM to create precise monthly forecasts.
• Conduct site surveys for installation feasibility and planning execution.
• Generate scopes of work and customer-oriented installation quotes in the CRM.
• Coordinate installation timelines with dispatchers and branch staff utilizing Microsoft Field Service.
• Implement installations in accordance with the defined scope, safety manuals, and installation guidelines.
• Manage the installation request inbox.
• Oversee schedules and completion dates in the CRM, relaying information to customers and branch leadership.
• Update final pricing in CRM opportunities to align with financial goals.
• Keep abreast of current organizational, industry, and equipment knowledge.
• Convey Hobart Service value propositions and upcoming service products to clients.
• Maintain vehicles and manage installation material equipment.
• Adhere to safe driving practices and other relevant company policies.
• Conduct visual safety inspections and report any vehicle and tool defects.
• Compile and summarize data for supervisors or branch managers.
• Lead installation teams and address customer crises or conflicts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of formal technical training.
• A minimum of ten years of related experience.
• Experience in equipment installation or a similar field.
• Proficient in PC use and Microsoft applications.
• Preferred 5+ years of installation experience in commercial equipment.
• Mechanical or electrical experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• An associate degree is preferred, but not essential.
• Highly desirable experience in installing and removing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM is advantageous.
• Industry certification is highly desirable, depending on position/location.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, installation instructions, and mechanical diagrams.
• Basic math skills, including measurement conversions and percentage calculations.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Capability to read and understand safety guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across site visits, quotes, and installation teams.
• Strong oral communication skills with both internal and external parties.
• Proficient in crisis and conflict resolution.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders up to 10 feet, walk 3–5 miles daily, drive 5–6 hours per day, and work in tight or confined spaces.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles, heavy machinery, and power tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
