This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Collaborate with Design and Product teams to enhance and sustain the application experience for our customers and merchant partners.
• Analyze and comprehend high-level feature requirements to suggest implementation alternatives and outline user stories.
• Work across various domains to gain insights into the potential impacts and limitations of the proposed requirements.
• Actively participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Manage the delivery of features incrementally: develop implementation plans, coordinate tasks with team members, communicate with stakeholders, create testing strategies, and ensure delivery to production.
• Assist in prioritizing, troubleshooting, and resolving bugs throughout the stack.
• Investigate and apply emerging technologies to enhance system performance and customer experience.
• Lead front-end strategy within the team, focusing on maintainability and extensibility.
• Advocate for innovative ideas to shape the strategy for the Tech organization as a whole.
• Serve as a technical mentor, guiding engineers on best practices and contemporary standards related to UI development.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold high-quality standards and share knowledge throughout the team.
• Enhance application observability to gain a better understanding of customer behavior and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Reduce application bundle size and load times to decrease friction.
• Leverage AI tools in daily tasks to streamline implementation cycles.
• A four-year college degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience with modern web technologies (React, Vue, Angular).
• React experience is preferred.
• Experience in UX, including aspects from accessibility to user behavior to responsive/adaptive web design.
• Familiarity with front-end tooling and best practices in areas such as state management, component libraries, and performance optimizations.
• Experience in writing end-to-end test suites using tools that simulate user behavior (Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs using contemporary programming languages (Golang, Java, Node, Python, etc.).
• Golang experience is preferred.
• Understanding of HTTP/REST architecture and operations for APIs/Orchestration.
• Knowledge in architecting and delivering applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with the scrum/agile software development process.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
