Lead Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee, improve, and implement microservices and user interfaces utilizing Java / Spring Boot, Django / Python, React, and GraphQL technologies.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production incidents and feature misconfigurations on live event platforms in real time.

• Monitor production systems and react to performance alerts promptly.

• Manage event-processing logic using Apache Kafka and analytics platforms such as Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.

• Onboard, mentor, and support engineers in their professional growth.

• Coordinate the delivery of work, facilitate code merges, and handle releases independently.

• Collaborate with Client Support and Go-To-Market teams to triage tickets, meet SLAs, and ensure client satisfaction.

• Assist in architectural modifications and maintain logic for cross-system dependencies.

• Leverage system performance data for proactive troubleshooting efforts.

• Work collaboratively with EST-aligned teams during live platform operations and real-time event responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership, onboarding skills, and team coordination.

• Strong expertise in Java / Spring Boot as the primary backend technology.

• Experience with Django / Python as a secondary framework is essential.

• Significant hands-on frontend development experience in building web applications using React.

• Direct experience with GraphQL, relational SQL databases, and/or document stores such as MongoDB.

• Proven familiarity with Apache Kafka and at least one of the following: Dagster, enterprise Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.

• Full end-to-end DevOps autonomy to construct, manage, merge, and deploy code independently.

• Outstanding data-driven troubleshooting and prioritization abilities, with a capacity to navigate ambiguity effectively.

• Experience in Agile remote work environments.

• Proficient in English for daily communication.

• High overlap with EST during standard US business hours.

• Nice to have: experience in product management or technical leadership in collaboration with GTM business teams.

• Nice to have: familiarity with AI developer tools and coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf.
