Lead Full-Stack Engineer – Voice AI, Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain integrations for CRM, EMR/EHR, business systems, legal, medical, accounting, calendars, and various industry tools.

• Manage availability checks, reservations, rescheduling, cancellations, confirmations, and synchronization among systems.

• Address time-zone discrepancies, duplicate bookings, scheduling conflicts, and update failures.

• Link Twilio and OpenAI interactions to backend operations such as intake, contact creation, scheduling, call transfers, and follow-ups.

• Construct reusable connectors with secure authentication, uniform data mapping, background processing, retries, duplicate prevention, monitoring, and failure recovery.

• Implement changes across frontend, backend, databases, and third-party services.

• Diagnose production issues and apply direct fixes.

• Enhance cloud infrastructure, deployments, CI/CD, observability, performance, security, and operating expenses.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO to convert priorities into actionable technical plans.

• Mentor developers, review code, eliminate obstacles, and maintain accountability throughout testing, deployment, and customer use.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven record of managing production SaaS systems.

• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript, with significant backend experience and skills in Python.

• Experience in developing frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and relational database systems.

• Demonstrated ability to ship and maintain several production integrations utilizing REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, and asynchronous processing.

• Solid grasp of two-way synchronization, rate limits, token renewal, partial failures, reconciliation, and data consistency.

• Familiarity with scheduling or transactional workflows where incorrect or duplicate actions can have significant consequences.

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and incident response.

• Capacity to quickly comprehend an existing codebase, identify root causes, and deliver targeted enhancements.

• Excellent communication skills, sound technical judgment, and experience guiding other engineers while remaining an active individual contributor.

• Knowledge of Twilio voice, real-time audio streaming, OpenAI APIs, and AI tool/function calling.

• Experience with Google Calendar, Microsoft Graph, and scheduling-platform integrations.

• Familiarity with legal platforms such as Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, or Lawmatics.

• Experience with healthcare integrations like athenahealth or Office Ally, including knowledge of FHIR/HL7 when relevant.

• Background in engineering systems that manage sensitive patient or client information, including tenant isolation, access controls, audit trails, and secure credential storage.

• Experience navigating vendor approval processes, restricted APIs, sandbox access, and integration partnerships.

• Reliable and high-speed internet connection, ideally 25 MBPS or more, with a backup for power outages or service provider issues.

• Personal PC/laptop with 8GB RAM and a processor of Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 3 / 2013 Mac equivalent or higher.

• Operating on Windows 10 or above / Catalina 10.15 or newer.

• Up-to-date web browsers and security software.
