
Lead Front-end Developer – Vue.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.
• Responsible for defining the technical direction of frontend architecture for Vue.js applications utilized by over 600 million devices monthly across more than 25 regions.
• Designs and advances our Micro Frontend Architecture.
• Creates and maintains cutting-edge web applications with a focus on user experience using Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia/Vuex).
• Develops reusable, well-tested code and creates/maintains scalable components.
• Guides technical decision-making — writes RFCs, facilitates architectural reviews, and establishes frontend standards across teams.
• Enhances the performance, scalability, and availability of our systems.
• Diagnoses interface software issues and debugs application code.
• Leads, manages, and develops a team of frontend engineers — overseeing 1:1s, performance evaluations, career development, and goal setting.
• Provides mentorship to engineers of varying seniority levels, coaching them on both technical skills and career advancement.
• Cultivates a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous learning within the team.
• Identifies skill gaps, formulates development plans, and advocates for promotions and recognition.
• Engages in hiring processes — interviewing candidates, contributing to technical assessments, and assisting in team growth.
• Plans and prioritizes the team's roadmap in alignment with product and business objectives; mentors in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and capacity allocation.
• Monitors team health metrics (velocity, quality, on-call load, engagement) and takes action as needed.
• Represents the frontend team to senior leadership, articulating progress, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitates cross-team collaboration with product managers, designers, backend leads, QA, and SRE.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a Front-end Developer, including at least 2+ years in a Lead, Tech Lead, or Staff-level position.
• In-depth knowledge of Vue.js (Vue 2 & Vue 3, Composition API) and its ecosystem (Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router).
• Proficient in TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES2020+), HTML5, and CSS3 (Sass or other compiled CSS languages).
• Practical experience with modern Frontend DevOps tools (Vite, Webpack, NPM/Yarn, Babel, CI/CD pipelines).
• Solid experience in testing with Jest, Vitest, or Cypress.
• Proven experience in building and scaling Micro Frontend Architectures in a production environment.
• Led initiatives for performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, runtime performance).
• Experience in developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices.
• Strong knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in people management (conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, making hiring decisions).
• Demonstrated mentoring abilities and experience coaching engineers at various levels of seniority.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — adept at presenting to executives and influencing without authority.
• Familiarity with agile delivery practices and team-level planning (OKRs, roadmapping, capacity planning).
• Capable of managing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and ensuring healthy collaboration among diverse personalities and seniority levels.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher — comfortable with asynchronous written communication, technical documents, and cross-team meetings).
• Self-motivated, independent, organized, proactive, and highly responsive while collaborating with multiple teams.
• Possesses empathy, emotional intelligence, and a service-oriented leadership style.
