Lead Forward Deployed Engineer – Enterprise Implementation, Generative AI, LLM, RAG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of enterprise Generative AI implementation projects.

• Comprehend customer business obstacles and translate them into technical and system specifications.

• Offer technical assistance and consultancy for new client proposals.

• Evaluate technical viability, system limitations, development scope, and necessary resources.

• Design infrastructures and create technical roadmaps for Generative AI solutions.

• Manage projects from proof of concept to production deployment from a technical viewpoint.

• Create solutions utilizing LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and associated technologies.

• Work collaboratively with consultants, backend engineers, data scientists, SREs, and other team members.

• Engage hands-on in prototype development and execution.

• Leverage technical expertise gained from customer projects to enhance products and platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in system development at an SIer or within commissioned/custom development projects.

• Practical background in system design and implementation.

• Capacity to independently research, validate, and address unfamiliar technical issues.

• Proficiency in interpreting architecture diagrams and system limitations to determine suitable implementation methods.

• Experience in direct communication with clients and resolving business challenges through technology.

• Capability to manage both technical consulting and hands-on development tasks.

• Fluency in business-level Japanese, including technical discussions.

• Must be able to reside in Japan.

• Professional experience as a Solution Architect is preferred.

• Experience with Generative AI or RAG-related projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of infrastructure architecture is preferred.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Docker, Terraform, or similar technologies is preferred.

• Experience in breaking down technical requirements and defining essential engineering resources is preferred.

• Experience working on projects in a startup or venture company environment is preferred.

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to autonomously drive projects.

• Ability to connect business needs with technology solutions.

• Strong logical reasoning and technical decision-making capabilities.

• Interest in both customer-facing communication and hands-on development work.
