Lead Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for Portfolio Delivery Quality: Keep a transparent overview of delivery status, risks, blockers, and priorities for the assigned accounts.

• Define Technical Direction Across Engagements: Provide guidance on solution architecture and technical decision-making across various simultaneous engagements.

• Mentor and Develop the Field Team: Offer direct, timely, and actionable feedback on technical execution, client communication, ownership, and judgment.

• Uphold Client Confidence: Act as the senior technical and delivery representative for clients within your portfolio.

• Establish Execution Discipline: Determine the appropriate operating rhythm for each account.

• Manage Delivery Risk and Escalation: Recognize risks related to technical issues, staffing, scope, timelines, and client alignment throughout the portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in client-facing or field delivery roles.

• Proven track record of taking ownership of delivery quality across multiple simultaneous engagements or accounts.

• Strong hands-on technical credibility: proficient in Python, with experience in production AI/ML delivery and sound architectural judgment; you still engage with the code.

• Demonstrated ability to develop engineers through direct, specific, and timely feedback.

• Exceptional executive and technical communication skills—credible with a client CTO and an engineer on the same day.

• High level of comfort with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD, and production deployment practices.

• Strong commercial awareness: you understand how delivery decisions impact account health and business outcomes.
