This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take complete ownership of HealthJoy's Core Financial Models from start to finish: Manage the operating model, long-range planning, and the financial foundation for board presentations. You will create, maintain, defend, and enhance leadership reviews while establishing the modeling standards that the organization relies on.
• Propel Strategic Finance Analyses That Impact the Business: Spearhead the analytical efforts related to unit economics, segment profitability, pricing strategies, packaging, and growth assessments. Convert complex data into straightforward recommendations for executives to implement.
• Enhance GTM Performance Through Analytical Collaboration with RevOps: Manage the analytical aspects of sales and marketing performance, including pipeline economics, representative productivity, customer acquisition cost efficiency, funnel diagnostics, channel return on investment, and compensation plan economics. This significant aspect of your role will involve close partnership with our GTM Systems lead to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
• Collaborate on the FP&A Operating Rhythm: Assist in the monthly closing processes, budget versus actuals reporting, headcount tracking, and the financial package for the board, working alongside other Finance team members who manage various elements of this work. Act as a finance partner for one or more departments, independently overseeing their budget and headcount planning.
• Organize and Structure Pricing and Deal Desk Activities: Prepare non-standard deal requests with thorough analysis and recommended structures to expedite decision-making. Act as a backup for routine pricing exceptions and escalate complex cases with context.
• Develop AI-Native Finance Workflows: Play an active role in defining our AI-native finance function by designing workflows in Claude and other platforms, automating analysis and reporting, and creating finance tools that previously did not exist. You should possess both the enthusiasm and skill for building; we will create a lot together.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, or management consulting, with a minimum of 2 years in an in-house SaaS startup or high-growth tech finance position.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong finance fundamentals, including sharp commercial and financial instincts, a comprehensive understanding of how revenue, margin, and cash interconnect, structured problem-solving for ambiguous business challenges, and the analytical rigor typical of top consulting, banking, or strategic finance environments.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and SaaS fluency. Proficient in Excel/Sheets for scenario planning, sensitivities, cohort and unit economics modeling, and multi-sheet model design. In-depth knowledge of ARR, NDR, GDR, CAC, LTV, and payback, and their connection to GAAP.
• High level of agency and tolerance for ambiguity. Capable of taking vague prompts and providing structured approaches, rather than asking for direction. Owns analyses from start to finish with recommendations, not just calculations. Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment with constantly evolving priorities. It's essential to honestly assess whether this cultural description aligns with your work style!
• BI fundamentals. Comfortable with structured data and modern BI tools; familiarity with core concepts is more important than proficiency in any specific tool.
• Experience and enthusiasm for AI development. You have engaged in building with AI, beyond simply using ChatGPT for emails. Concrete examples such as workflows in Claude, custom GPTs, prompt-engineered analysis, or automations that replaced manual finance tasks are impressive, but the most important aspect is your eagerness to build, your quick learning ability, and your willingness to collaborate with the team.
• Comfort with GTM/RevOps and deal-level analysis. Previous experience in sales and marketing analytics, including pipeline, compensation plan economics, channel ROI, or similar areas. Comfortable in structuring deal scenarios and making recommendations. Direct experience with deal desks is a plus; analytical judgment and structure are more crucial than the number of representatives.
• Executive presence and strong written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to senior leadership, ensuring your work product communicates recommendations rather than simply presenting data.
• Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or modern planning tools is a plus.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
• HSA contribution matching.
• Stock options available for qualifying roles.
• 401k matching.
• Paid parental leave.
• Company-sponsored short-term and long-term disability coverage.
• Flexible paid time off (PTO).
