Lead, Finance Analytics – Enablement AI/ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver actionable insights that guide business decisions through finance and data analytics.

• Take ownership of the data warehouse strategy, governance, and execution pertaining to the finance ledger.

• Develop and spearhead a Center of Excellence for reporting, encompassing infrastructure and metrics across finance and business units.

• Create, manage, implement, and monitor the success of the Finance AI automation roadmap in collaboration with FP&A, accounting, and data teams.

• Build the foundation for data pipelines and AI models.

• Collaborate with engineering and Financial Operations to comprehend and optimize GCP infrastructure costs.

• Position Finance as the definitive source of truth for financial and business performance while enabling self-service analytics for key stakeholders.

• Oversee a team consisting of 4 engineers and 1 finance and strategy manager.

• Implement internal controls and assist with external audits concerning data governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of work experience in travel and/or SaaS industries.

• Bachelor's Degree is required, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or equivalent experience.

• An engineering background is preferred.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, GCP, and Data Science, with hands-on coding capability.

• Knowledge of LLM-based systems, prompt design, and AI model evaluation frameworks.

• Familiarity with automation frameworks and observability tools (such as Amplitude, Datadog, Looker) to evaluate reliability and performance.

• Strong skills in data reconciliation across extensive, multi-source datasets.

• A tendency toward first-principles thinking — challenging assumptions, stress-testing processes, and consistently questioning why something functions as it does.

• Excellent communication skills with senior leadership and external partners.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and building from the ground up.
