This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver actionable insights to inform business decisions utilizing finance and data analytics.
• Oversee the strategy, governance, and execution of the finance ledger within the data warehouse.
• Develop and lead a Center of Excellence for reporting, taking ownership of infrastructure and metrics across finance and business units.
• Design, implement, and monitor the success of the Finance AI automation roadmap in collaboration with FP&A, accounting, and data teams.
• Build a foundation for data pipelines and AI models.
• Collaborate with engineering and Financial Operations to understand and optimize costs related to our GCP infrastructure.
• Position Finance as the authoritative source for financial and business performance while creating self-service analytics for key stakeholders.
• Supervise a team comprising 4 engineers and 1 finance and strategy manager.
• Establish internal controls and assist with external audits concerning data governance.
• Minimum of 15 years of work experience in travel and/or SaaS industries.
• Bachelor's Degree required, with a strong preference for a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred engineering background.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, GCP, and Data Science, with hands-on coding capabilities.
• Knowledge of LLM-based systems, prompt design, and evaluation frameworks for AI models.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and observability tools (such as Amplitude, Datadog, Looker) to evaluate reliability and performance.
• Strong skills in data reconciliation across extensive, multi-source datasets.
• A tendency toward first-principles thinking — challenging assumptions, stress-testing processes, and consistently questioning why things operate as they do.
• Effective communicator with senior leadership and external partners.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and build from the ground up.
