Lead Field Services Engineer – HMI Controls, OT Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HMI, SCADA, and control system hardware and software in intricate industrial settings.

• Diagnose HMI and control problems related to logic interfaces, network communications, and application services.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison on-site, collaborating with project managers and clients.

• Conduct pre-commissioning activities, functional tests, and provide start-up assistance.

• Keep detailed project and technical documentation up to date.

• Carry out OT cyber-resilience tasks, which include asset verification, system hardening, and endpoint protection assessments.

• Convert technical and cybersecurity insights into comprehensible language for plant operators and senior stakeholders.

• Ensure that on-site activities comply with environmental, quality, safety, and cybersecurity protocols.

• Provide support across various project sites, including international and offshore locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with HMI, SCADA, or turbine control systems in power generation or industrial contexts.

• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, networks, and Windows environments.

• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms, including screen navigation, alarm and trend analysis, and basic configuration tasks.

• Knowledge of GE control platforms or similar turbine/plant automation frameworks is highly preferred.

• Practical experience with industrial networking, encompassing TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls.

• Proficient troubleshooting skills for Windows servers and workstations.

• High level of technical maturity for troubleshooting outages and abnormal events.

• Willingness to enhance expertise in OT cybersecurity.

• Capability and readiness to travel to various project sites, including international and offshore locations.

• Proficient in English.

• Fluency in Spanish is highly valued.

• Ability to operate in industrial environments while adhering to environmental, quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.
