This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and execute enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operational models.

• Implement data ownership, stewardship initiatives, governance councils, and accountability frameworks.

• Formulate governance metrics and enhance data literacy and stewardship throughout the organization.

• Foster the adoption of governance practices via stakeholder engagement and effective change management.

• Set standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, and master data management.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to address data quality challenges and enhance data consistency and trust.

• Ensure governance practices are compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards.

• Aid in audit preparedness and governance-related compliance efforts.

• Act as the primary point of contact for enterprise data governance initiatives.

• Influence stakeholders across clinical, operational, research, compliance, and IT domains.

• Oversee governance projects that involve data standards, metadata repositories, governance tools, and stewardship programs.

• Offer mentorship and expertise on governance best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Health Information Management, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, healthcare analytics, or enterprise data strategy.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise data governance programs and frameworks.

• Experience in establishing data stewardship models, governance councils, and ownership frameworks.

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, X12, DICOM, ICD, CPT, LOINC, and SNOMED.

• Experience with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, or Athena.

• Strong comprehension of healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, NIST, and Joint Commission.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
