Lead Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Agile process for the team from start to finish, encompassing sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Manage and coordinate the daily tasks of the team by sequencing stories, balancing workloads, and eliminating obstacles.

• Take ownership of the team’s architecture and technical direction, ensuring safe and effective use of coding agents.

• Establish standards and guidelines for agentic development, covering prompting conventions, review requirements, and validation expectations.

• Lead the design and evaluation of the team's most intricate features, while personally managing high-risk or ambiguous tasks.

• Provide mentorship to engineers on essential engineering skills and the responsible use of coding agents.

• Act as the team’s representative in discussions with stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies, and delivery status.

• Assess and implement agentic coding tools and workflows, tracking their impact on quality and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in professional software development.

• Advanced knowledge of .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.

• Proven experience in running Agile teams or fulfilling a Scrum Master-like role, including facilitation, sprint planning, and helping engineers overcome challenges.

• Strong expertise in scalable, distributed systems.

• Capability to coordinate and prioritize team workloads and deliveries without formal people-management authority.

• A history of guiding coding agents through complex, ambiguous, or high-stakes projects.

• Good judgment in assessing risk and providing oversight.
