Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical strategy and complete delivery of Frontier Traders.

• Develop and expand pipelines that attribute spot and perpetual volume across Solana platforms.

• Standardize fills, wallets, and accounts into reliable trading activity data.

• Create and manage reward engines for campaigns, points, prize pools, and leaderboards.

• Establish and oversee VIP tiers, rolling maker/taker volume windows, tier progression, and rebate calculations.

• Deliver precise, responsive real-time experiences, including activity feeds, leaderboards, and tier progression.

• Manage integrations with DEXs, perpetual venues, launchpads, wallets, and data providers.

• Collaborate directly with traders, firms, and market makers to convert feedback into product improvements.

• Set benchmarks for architecture, code quality, testing, observability, and incident response.

• Make decisions on whether to build or integrate and manage technical debt effectively.

• Collaborate with design, product, Trading, and Growth teams to shape product direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and delivering products from start to finish, with clear personal accountability for your contributions.

• Strong engineering principles across the entire stack.

• Technical expertise in Rust and other high-performance programming languages.

• Experience working with high-volume data pipelines, indexing, or real-time systems where accuracy and latency are critical.

• Background in developing financial or transactional products where mistakes can have significant consequences.

• Practical knowledge of Solana accounts, transactions, program interactions, and reliable off-chain data retrieval.

• Understanding of DeFi market structure, including spot and perpetual venues, AMMs, order books, maker/taker dynamics, fees, and rebates.

• Strong product intuition and a readiness to express views on user experience.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, minimal processes, and changing priorities.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with demanding external users.

• Bonus: Experience developing for traders, market makers, or high-frequency trading (HFT) firms.

• Bonus: Familiarity with points, rewards, loyalty, or incentive systems at scale.

• Bonus: Practical experience with Solana data infrastructure such as Helius, Pyth, Geyser plugins, or custom indexers.

• Bonus: Contributions to open-source projects related to Solana or DeFi tooling.
