Lead Engineer – AI Studio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Guide the technical vision for our AI-centric application-building framework.

• Lead intricate system design choices.

• Act as a hands-on technical guide and mentor for the engineers developing AI Studio’s application generation engine.

• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and design teams to define the roadmap.

• Develop scalable and fault-tolerant LLM pipelines for content creation, layout design, experimentation, and AI-based user assistance.

• Engage directly with technologies such as Go, NestJS, Node, PostgreSQL, Firestore, Vector Databases, Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare KV, and microservices.

• Design distributed systems capable of managing high-throughput generative and analytical tasks while ensuring accuracy and low latency.

• Enhance observability using Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and structured logging practices.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and collaborative coding sessions.

• Take part in reviews, in-depth investigations, and on-call rotations to foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of backend engineering experience, focusing on distributed system design and large-scale platform development.

• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) for creating high-performance, concurrent backend services, along with experience in Node/NestJS.

• Practical experience in building and managing edge/serverless services using Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare KV (or similar edge computing and distributed key-value storage solutions).

• Profound knowledge of event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and high-throughput data pipelines.

• Solid understanding of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL data models, query optimization, and complex transactional data.

• Proficient in LLM integrations, vector search, embeddings, RAG patterns, and frameworks for generative AI.

• Familiarity with frontend architecture utilizing Vue, along with a robust understanding of UI/UX principles.

• Experience in monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production environments.

• Excellent instincts for scaling, optimizing latency, and ensuring reliability under real-world demands.

• Background in implementing structured generation, verification layers, retrieval-based grounding, and safeguards to minimize hallucinations.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering patterns, context injection, and model evaluation.

• Outstanding communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

• Practical decision-making that balances long-term strategy with iterative execution.
