This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and maintain AI-compatible access to the WAI catalog, customer, order, product, sales-channel, and associated business data as specified by AI platform leadership.
• Support Infor integration and other verified data connections to ensure AI outputs are based on authorized business data sources.
• Execute semantic, keyword, and structured search functionalities across catalog, OE number, fitment, cross-reference, technical specifications, and product information.
• Analyze and organize PDFs, Excel documents, fitment guides, manufacturer specifications, RMA forms, customer inquiries, chatbot interactions, and other technical or business materials.
• Develop and sustain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector search capabilities, document ingestion pipelines, prompt workflows, and AI assistant functionalities for internal users and distributor support.
• Collect and categorize genuine user inquiries, unsuccessful searches, corrections, successful responses, and feedback to aid in evaluation data, retrieval enhancement, and subsequent model adjustments.
• Assist in the assessment, deployment, and testing of sanctioned hosted or open-source models such as Llama, Mistral, Qwen, or similar models under technical supervision.
• Aid AI workflows related to Amazon Business trends, listing performance, returns, customer demand, and other sanctioned business intelligence applications as assigned.
• Record technical logic, data mappings, prompts, retrieval sources, test scenarios, known issues, and support protocols.
• Evaluate AI outputs for source grounding, precision, consistency, reliability, and conformity with acceptance standards.
• Oversee assigned workflows, address defects, analyze failures, and propose enhancements to retrieval quality, data integrity, model performance, and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with offshore and onsite team members, IT, data custodians, and business-oriented AI resources to deliver approved work in accordance with WAI standards.
• Assume additional responsibilities and tasks as specified by management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered based on local market standards.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, data engineering, AI/ML, automation, analytics engineering, business systems, workflow tools, or similar technical roles.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Python, SQL, APIs, data pipelines, scripts, automation, or data workflows.
• Practical exposure to or experience with large language models, prompts, RAG, embeddings, vector search, chatbots, AI agents, or document processing is required; deeper or production-level experience in these areas is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, catalog, product, customer, order, inventory, or technical-document data is preferred.
• Experience in supporting offshore delivery, remote collaboration, documentation, testing, or production support is preferred.
• Background in the automotive aftermarket, manufacturing, distribution, product data, fitment data, or similar technical fields is a plus.
• Limited travel is anticipated, estimated at 0-10% based on business needs, project rollout requirements, training, workshops, or meetings.
