Lead End User Computing – Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Direct the engineering, administration, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise endpoint management platforms.

• Design, sustain, and refine Windows device imaging and provisioning workflows.

• Oversee enterprise laptop and workstation patch management strategies.

• Support initiatives related to Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management.

• Create and maintain hardware and software standards.

• Manage the endpoint lifecycle from provisioning to retirement.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software packages utilizing SCCM/MECM and Intune.

• Oversee software deployment and application lifecycle management strategies.

• Diagnose deployment failures and enhance automation and reporting processes.

• Improve the digital workplace experience through engineering, automation, and service enhancement.

• Collaborate with ITSM, Service Desk, and Field Services teams to optimize service delivery.

• Create scalable solutions that enhance usability, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation solutions.

• Streamline operational tasks, deployments, provisioning workflows, reporting, and remediation.

• Administer and support Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

• Enhance virtual desktop performance, scalability, availability, and user experience.

• Work alongside infrastructure and cloud teams on hybrid workplace projects.

• Manage Bomgar and BeyondTrust remote support and privileged access tools.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and enhance endpoint protection.

• Create technical documentation, engineering standards, procedures, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

• Engage in continuous improvement and operational governance initiatives.

• Partner with Managed Service Providers to ensure operational alignment, accountability, and service excellence.

• Provide technical leadership and governance for outsourced End User Computing support functions.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, SLAs, KPIs, and operational best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 6–10+ years of experience in End User Computing, Desktop Engineering, or Workplace Technology roles within a global context.

• Strong knowledge of modern workplace technologies and best practices in endpoint security.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale global environments.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot intricate technical issues across endpoint and virtual desktop platforms.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Intune.

• Familiarity with SCCM/MECM.

• Expertise in Windows endpoint management.

• Experience with imaging and provisioning solutions.

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Knowledge of Citrix and Azure VDI environments.

• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• Skilled in software packaging and deployment.

• Proficient in endpoint patch management.

• Experience with Bomgar/BeyondTrust.

• Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Azure, Endpoint Management, or Modern Workplace technologies are preferred.

• Familiarity with ITIL or IT Service Management environments is preferred.

• Experience within a multi-vendor or Managed Services operating model is preferred.

• Background in supporting automation and digital transformation initiatives is preferred.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, security, operations, and support teams.

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and operational discipline.
