Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating production-ready firmware for Matter-enabled devices, from initial development to certification

• Taking ownership of firmware development throughout the entire device lifecycle

• Engaging in hardware debugging and validation utilizing tools such as JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers

• Working in close collaboration with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in embedded/firmware engineering using C/C++

• Extensive experience with ESP-IDF

• Proven track record of implementing Matter on ESP32-series silicon

• Practical experience with at least one Matter transport at the firmware level

• Skilled in debugging commissioning processes, interoperability failures, and protocol-level challenges

• Knowledge of secure boot, flash encryption, and device attestation within the Matter framework

• Proficient with hardware debugging toolchains
