Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Creating high-quality firmware for devices that are compatible with Matter.

• Taking responsibility for firmware development throughout the entire device lifecycle.

• Engaging in hardware debugging and validation processes.

• Working closely with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams.

• Troubleshooting intricate, real-world interoperability challenges within Matter ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in embedded or firmware engineering using C/C++.

• Extensive knowledge of ESP-IDF.

• Proven experience implementing Matter on ESP32-series silicon.

• Practical experience with at least one Matter transport at the firmware level.

• Proficient in debugging commissioning processes and interoperability failures.

• Understanding of secure boot, flash encryption, and device attestation within the Matter framework.

• Proficient with hardware debugging toolchains.

• Experience working in a consultancy or product development environment.
