Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Designing production-quality firmware for devices that support Matter.

• Taking ownership of the firmware development throughout the entire device lifecycle.

• Engaging in hardware debugging and validation processes.

• Collaborating intensively with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in embedded/firmware engineering using C/C++.

• Extensive experience with the ESP-IDF framework.

• Proven track record of implementing Matter on ESP32-series silicon.

• Practical experience with at least one Matter transport at the firmware level.

• Proficient in debugging commissioning processes, interoperability failures, and protocol-level challenges.

• Knowledgeable in secure boot, flash encryption, and device attestation.

• Strong contributions to open-source Matter or ESP-IDF projects.

• Experience with related protocols such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, and BLE Mesh.

• Familiarity with hardware debugging toolchains.

• Proven experience establishing CI/CD for firmware builds and automated testing frameworks.
