This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer daily EHS assistance for site operations related to active projects throughout the United States.
• Cultivate robust working relationships with operational and project managers in the region to promote the desired EHS culture across all activities.
• Serve as a support liaison for all sites to aid in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure all operations are executed in accordance with relevant regulatory and GE standards.
• Comprehend EHS contractual obligations.
• Execute audits in alignment with the business audit strategy.
• Perform routine inspections of sites and work methods.
• Assist onsite initiatives such as Life Saving Rule validations and GE Vernova initiatives.
• Conduct onsite orientations for GEV personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Act as the intermediary between the client and GEV for related EHS initiatives.
• Carry out contractor evaluations monthly in Complyworks.
• Aid the business in promoting ongoing enhancement of EHS programs.
• Review, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs, recommending necessary improvements.
• Assist the region in sustaining accreditation across designated sites.
• Encourage increased adoption of digital programs and tools across assigned sites.
• Conduct ITO reviews and evaluate EHS requirements and risks.
• Engage in the assessment of safety and environmental-related risks.
• Conduct inquiries and analysis of all incidents or hazardous conditions.
• Identify trends and causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures.
• Provide EHS training to the assigned site population as necessary.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all internal and external EHS reporting.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR a High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 5 years of EHS experience.
• Over 5 years of EHS experience, with exposure to various EHS areas in a services environment, primarily focusing on safety.
• Familiarity with the Oil and Gas, Electrification, and Energy sectors, with a specific emphasis on Power and Substations.
• Knowledge of North American EHS regulations.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Willingness to travel up to 85%, as needed, with planned rotations.
• Proficient in English.
• Open to becoming a certified CPR instructor.
