Lead DevOps Engineer, Data & AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Establish and execute a contemporary DevOps and platform engineering strategy that aligns with the objectives of the data and AI platform.

• Create roadmaps that integrate AI-driven development, testing, and operational processes.

• Lead the transition from conventional DevOps to intelligent, self-service platform functionalities.

• Continuously assess emerging technologies (such as GenAI, LLMOps, AIOps) and incorporate them as appropriate.

• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing AI-powered tools (including code generation, test generation, and pipeline optimization).

• Develop scalable automation frameworks employing AI, scripting, and infrastructure as code methodologies.

• Analyze and enhance integrations within the Anglo American Data Platform.

• Implement governance measures across pipelines, including policy-as-code and automated compliance verifications.

• Produce and maintain clear documentation, including AI-assisted “how-to” manuals and self-service enablement resources.

• Collaborate with Data Delivery and platform teams for efficient issue resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with CI/CD tools (for example, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM, or comparable technologies).

• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and release management strategies.

• Experience with Azure services and cloud-native architecture.

• Familiarity with data platforms (such as Databricks, ADF, Airflow, SQL, AAS, or equivalent solutions).

• Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or code assistants).

• Experience with governance frameworks, access control, and compliance protocols.

• Familiarity with AIOps tools for monitoring and managing incidents.

• Capability to implement and uphold DevOps standards at scale.
