This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Sitecore Lead Developer will oversee the development and upkeep of both internal and external websites, portals, and applications for Genpact clients.
• This position demands a robust hands-on experience in crafting scalable, maintainable, high-quality, and high-performing digital experiences utilizing Sitecore, SitecoreAI, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, along with headless front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• The Lead Developer will work closely with clients and collaborate with a Genpact team that includes project/product managers, experience designers, QA analysts, architects, and developers to deliver enterprise-grade solutions adhering to modern web standards, component-based development practices, API-driven integrations, and composable DXP architecture patterns.
• Develop Sitecore renderings, components, templates, layouts, and content models using .NET, Sitecore APIs, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and contemporary front-end framework patterns where applicable.
• Tailor the Sitecore CMS authoring interface, workflows, permissions, content trees, and authoring features according to unique business requirements based on user stories and technical designs.
• Integrate Sitecore implementations with Sitecore XM/XP, XM Cloud, Sitecore AI, Headless Services/JSS, Experience Edge, Content Hub, Sitecore Search, CDP/Personalize, REST APIs, GraphQL, and external systems.
• Design and maintain custom REST APIs, service integrations, and JSON-based endpoints to facilitate asynchronous data delivery and application integrations.
• Ensure optimal performance and scalable page delivery that aligns with load testing, accessibility standards, security practices, technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and modern web best practices.
• Develop scripts, utilities, and automation to assist with content migration, bulk content operations, serialization, environment synchronization, and repeatable development workflows.
• Validate the functionality, accessibility, responsive behavior, and authoring usability through testing the integration of code, content, templates, and components.
• Contribute to feature specifications, user stories, technical designs, implementation notes, training materials, and delivery documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with team members throughout development, QA, launch, stabilization, and maintenance phases, while helping to eliminate technical obstacles and enhance delivery quality.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership by conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, estimating support, and practical guidance for team developers.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with the Sitecore platform, with a willingness to expand expertise across the broader Sitecore ecosystem.
• At least 8 years of experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, or ASP.NET MVC stacks, applying SOLID object-oriented design principles and sustainable engineering practices.
• Experience in developing Sitecore templates, renderings, layouts, workflows, publishing patterns, permissions, and CMS content models that ensure a user-friendly authoring experience.
• Familiarity with Sitecore development methodologies such as SXA, serialization, solution conventions, component-based development, Helix-aligned architecture, and environment-aware configuration.
• Exposure to modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud hosting models, containerization with Docker or Kubernetes, and serverless functions on platforms like Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Knowledge of accessibility, performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, security, and best practices for responsive delivery, with the capability to implement these standards in code.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery, with experience in tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar work management systems.
• Knowledge of Git version control, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with modular component design and modern front-end tools such as npm, Webpack or Vite, Sass, responsive grid frameworks, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks.
• A passion for software delivery, keeping up with Sitecore roadmaps, changes in the .NET platform, front-end frameworks, and the evolving digital experience landscape.
• A strong commitment to effective delivery, engineering discipline, practical problem-solving, and innovative approaches to push boundaries.
• Capability to lead technical discussions with clients, architects, product owners, designers, QA, and development team members.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey technical decisions, trade-offs, barriers, and implementation strategies.
• Experience mentoring developers, reviewing code, enhancing implementation quality, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
• Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership, estimation support, delivery guidance, and client-facing collaboration.
