This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Sitecore Lead Developer will take the lead in the creation and upkeep of both internal and external websites, portals, and applications for Genpact clients.
• This position demands a solid hands-on background in developing scalable, maintainable, high-quality, and high-performing digital experiences utilizing Sitecore, SitecoreAI, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, and headless front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• The Lead Developer will work closely with clients and collaborate within a Genpact team consisting of project/product managers, experience designers, QA analysts, architects, and developers to deliver enterprise-level solutions adhering to modern web standards, component-based development practices, API-driven integrations, and composable DXP architecture patterns.
• Design and develop Sitecore renderings, components, templates, layouts, and content models using .NET, Sitecore APIs, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and contemporary front-end framework patterns when applicable.
• Tailor the Sitecore CMS authoring interface, workflows, permissions, content trees, and authoring features to cater to unique business needs derived from user stories and technical designs.
• Connect Sitecore implementations with Sitecore XM/XP, XM Cloud, Sitecore AI, Headless Services/JSS, Experience Edge, Content Hub, Sitecore Search, CDP/Personalize, REST APIs, GraphQL, and external systems.
• Develop and maintain custom REST APIs, service integrations, and JSON-based endpoints to facilitate asynchronous data delivery and application integrations.
• Guarantee high-performance and scalable page delivery that accommodates load testing, accessibility standards, security protocols, technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and contemporary web best practices.
• Craft scripts, utilities, and automation tools to assist with content migration, bulk content operations, serialization, environment synchronization, and repeatable development workflows.
• Validate functionality, accessibility, responsive behavior, and authoring usability by testing the integration of code, content, templates, and components.
• Contribute to feature specifications, user stories, technical designs, implementation notes, training materials, and delivery documentation to aid knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with team members throughout development, QA, launch, stabilization, and maintenance phases, while addressing technical challenges and enhancing delivery quality.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, estimation support, and practical guidance for developers on the team.
• Over 5 years of experience working with the Sitecore platform, with a desire to further develop expertise across the broader Sitecore ecosystem.
• More than 8 years of experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, or ASP.NET MVC stacks, applying SOLID object-oriented design principles and sustainable engineering practices.
• Proven experience in developing Sitecore templates, renderings, layouts, workflows, publishing patterns, permissions, and CMS content models that foster an elegant and user-friendly authoring experience.
• Familiarity with Sitecore development practices such as SXA, serialization, solution conventions, component-based development, Helix-aligned architecture, and environment-aware configuration.
• Exposure to modern DevOps, CI/CD, cloud hosting models, containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes, and serverless functions on Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility, performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, security, and responsive delivery best practices, with the capability to implement these standards in code.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery, with experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar work management tools.
• Knowledge of Git version control, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with modular component design and contemporary front-end tools such as npm, Webpack or Vite, Sass, responsive grid frameworks, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• An eagerness to refine software delivery skills and stay updated with Sitecore roadmaps, .NET platform changes, front-end frameworks, and the evolving digital experience landscape.
• A passion for delivering high-quality work, strong engineering practices, pragmatic problem-solving, and pushing boundaries through innovative approaches.
• Capable of leading technical discussions with clients, architects, product owners, designers, QA, and development team members.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, blockers, and implementation strategies.
• Experience mentoring developers, reviewing code, enhancing implementation quality, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on development with technical leadership, estimation support, delivery guidance, and client-facing collaboration.
• A proactive ownership mindset, with the ability to self-manage tasks, identify risks early, and facilitate the team's progress on decisions and deliverables.
