Lead Developer, C# – .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Engaging in hands-on development and architectural tasks within the team (C#/.NET)

• Actively participating as a developer during sprints, which includes independently implementing new features and resolving bugs

• Tackling more intricate technical challenges and addressing architectural issues in daily teamwork

• Contributing to architectural decisions within the team, particularly concerning modularization, interfaces, and security

• Actively participating in the ongoing enhancement of our core systems (C#/.NET, MS SQL) towards robust, containerized services within a Kubernetes cluster

• Taking into account non-functional requirements such as observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment

• Offering technical support during refinement sessions, including clearly communicating complex technical matters to Product Managers

• Involvement in CI/CD, code reviews, and adherence to clean code practices

• Actively participating in the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps) and fostering clean code practices, code reviews, and automated testing (unit & system tests) with a clear shift-left mindset

• Contributing to shorter development cycles and more reliable deployments within the team

• Encouraging shared knowledge rather than siloed expertise: ensuring that information is accessible across the team, well-documented, and not confined to individuals

• Contributing to organized, clear, and up-to-date process and system documentation

• Developing practical best-practice guidelines and technical standards focused on quality and efficiency

• Providing technical mentorship and coaching to developers in areas such as architecture, clean code, and systems thinking, without disciplinary responsibilities

• Assisting in the onboarding of new team members through technical insights and knowledge transfer

• Fostering continuous learning and constructive professional exchange within the team

• Working closely with the Engineering Manager on technical inquiries and the team’s technical direction

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in C#/.NET and backend development

• Several years of experience with web applications utilizing C#/.NET

• Confident in managing scalable database systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and modern backend architectures (modular services)

• Ideally, knowledge of Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ

• High quality standards without a quick-fix mentality, combined with a pragmatic approach and a comprehensive understanding of the product

• Experience with AI/LLM development

• Familiarity with integrating new technologies and digital solutions

• Strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of AI in a corporate environment

• Experience with AI/LLM-assisted development and ideally with the integration of AI-based features

• Practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code

• Solid knowledge of designing, scaling, and orchestrating services

• Routine experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), and automated tests (unit & system tests)

• Enjoyment in sharing professional knowledge and aiding the growth of fellow developers

• Ability to explain complex technical subjects in an accessible manner, including to non-technical stakeholders

• Interest in understanding business needs and actively engaging in discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders
