This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic collaborator for cross-functional teams, including DTC, web PMs, web engineers, marketing, and finance. You will design and promote web analytics roadmaps, identifying discrepancies between data insights and team assumptions.

• Craft compelling narratives that drive team action. You will assess and analyze the complete user journey—from initial traffic acquisition through various marketing channels to each web conversion funnel—pinpointing drop-offs, trends, and areas for enhancing user flow and conversion rates. You will present your findings to leadership and working teams, ensuring clear communication and actionable insights, as an unutilized insight is a missed opportunity.

• Establish causal relationships using appropriate tools, including A/B testing, analytics, and causal inference methods. Collaborate with DTC and product teams to scale an agile, statistically rigorous multivariate experimentation program, working alongside engineering to implement event tracking and translating insights into actionable steps to enhance web metrics and conversion rates.

• Develop metrics strategies grounded in a comprehensive understanding of user experiences on our website, focusing on what truly matters to both users and the business.

• Perform in-depth analyses of consumer behavior to identify trends and preferences across different cohorts, delivering actionable insights to guide marketing, merchandising, and product strategies.

• Collaborate with the CRO and PM to enhance site conversions through comprehensive A/B testing, concentrating on product pages, checkout processes, upselling, and merchandising techniques.

• Take ownership of data by integrating backend data from various platforms (Google Analytics, BigQuery, Databricks) and collaborate with Data Engineering to create eCommerce data pipelines that facilitate all DTC reporting.

• Supervise the analysis of eCommerce KPIs, customer behavior, and digital marketing metrics, developing and refining dashboards to enhance visibility into online performance and uncover optimization opportunities.

• Provide explanations that extend beyond mere measurement, always contextualizing analysis within the understanding that users are individuals with their own motivations and circumstances that data alone may not reveal.

• Articulate and communicate a clear vision for self-service and operational reporting utilizing industry-leading tools and best practices.

• Leverage AI to amplify your impact. You will utilize coding agents and automated analyses daily, contributing to the development of our AI-native analytics stack as we transition from reactive to proactive and ultimately autonomous analytics.

• Advanced degree (bachelor's or higher) in a quantitative discipline (economics, statistics, quantitative social science, operations research) or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience with causal inference techniques in real-world applications (e.g., difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls, propensity score matching).

• A history of shaping product or business strategy through data, with specific examples demonstrating cross-functional impact.

• Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Statsig, Optimizely, or comparable tools).

• Proficient in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and/or Adobe Analytics is essential.

• Experience with Data Engineering to ingest web event streams into a centralized data environment.

• Skilled in SQL and Python/R for statistical analysis.
