Lead Data Scientist – GenAI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage with cutting-edge data science applications to address business challenges.

• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to convert business issues into high-level analytics solution frameworks.

• Deliver presentations of analytic solutions to business audiences, emphasizing the solution's robustness and its potential to create business value.

• Develop comprehensive solutions grounded in a thorough understanding of business challenges to ensure analytics solutions are provided efficiently, reliably, and sustainably.

• Design and create machine learning and Generative AI solutions utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Construct LLM-powered applications utilizing Azure OpenAI and coordinate workflows using LangGraph.

• Formulate agentic AI workflows for automation, insight generation, and decision-making support.

• Implement Document Intelligence solutions to extract insights from unstructured data.

• Engage in discussions with team members to select and apply suitable analytic techniques, generating actionable business insights.

• Responsible for presenting to senior management, communicating results to business teams, and developing strategies to operationalize analytic solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a GenAI Data Scientist.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Experience with MLflow and model lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with Python from a functional programming perspective, capable of managing dependencies and virtual environments, in addition to version control in Git.

• Knowledge of Generative AI: Strong understanding of cutting-edge AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and other modern generative AI applications.

• Experience with sequential algorithms (e.g., LSTM, RNN, transformer, etc.).

• Proficient with Bedrock, JumpStart, and HuggingFace.

• Experience in evaluating the ethical implications of AI and managing them (e.g., red-teaming).

• Expertise in both supervised and unsupervised learning, along with experience in deep learning and transfer learning.

• Familiarity with generative algorithms (e.g., GAN, VAE, etc.) and pre-trained models (e.g., LLaMa, SAM, etc.).

• Proven experience developing models from inception to deployment, with 5-10 years of professional work experience, including at least 5 years in Data Science.

• Experience in building end-to-end ML pipelines in production.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and model governance.

• Ability to design scalable and reliable AI systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics or equivalent work experience.
