Senior Data Scientist – Operations Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Accountable for restructuring the Optimization algorithm developed in Python utilizing Object Oriented Programming principles.

• Engage with cutting-edge data science applications to address business challenges within the Supply Chain and optimization sectors of Retail and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).

• Employ sophisticated statistical methods and data science algorithms to analyze extensive datasets and generate actionable insights pertaining to Pricing Optimization.

• Create and deploy predictive models and optimization algorithms aimed at enhancing inventory management, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing resource distribution throughout the supply chain.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to grasp business requirements and convert them into data-driven solutions.

• Design and carry out experiments to assess the effectiveness of various replenishment strategies and allocation policies.

• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with replenishment and supply chain allocation, providing recommendations for ongoing improvement.

• Keep informed about industry trends and best practices in data science, replenishment optimization, and supply chain management, utilizing this knowledge to foster innovation within the organization.

• Collaborate, mentor, and learn alongside a growing team of seasoned Data Scientists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with over 6 years as a Data Scientist, specializing in supply chain optimization and inventory allocation.

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in utilizing mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress MP, CPLEX, or Google OR Tools for applications.

• Familiarity with **MLflow** and model lifecycle management.

• Experience in constructing **end-to-end ML pipelines in production**.

• Comprehensive understanding of statistical methods, optimization techniques, and predictive modeling principles.

• High proficiency in programming languages like Python, Pyspark, and SQL, along with experience in data analysis and machine learning libraries.

• Capability to apply various analytical models to real-world business scenarios.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities to comprehend business partner requirements and deliver solutions while explaining them to business stakeholders.
