This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Create, develop, and manage cloud-based data platforms that transform diverse, multi-national life sciences data into reliable, reusable data products.
• This position encompasses clinical trial data, real-world data (RWD), and omics, integrating these into standardized, regulatory-compliant, analysis-ready resources.
• Involves hands-on engineering work with Azure and Databricks, alongside providing technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
• Over 8 years of experience in data engineering, particularly within the Life Sciences or pharmaceutical sector.
• Demonstrated success in delivering cloud data platforms on Azure and Databricks; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, along with expertise in ETL/ELT orchestration using Azure Data Factory.
• Practical experience with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) and clinical data processes.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of data governance, access management, and handling sensitive/anonymized data.
• Experience in team leadership and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).

• Experience with OMOP CDM and real-world data standardization.
• Background in omics/bioinformatics data and handling large-scale scientific datasets.
• Knowledge of graph databases (Neo4j) and knowledge-graph modeling.
• Proficiency in BI and visualization tools: Power BI, Metabase, Streamlit.
• __Certifications (Preferred)__ Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer/Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Neo4j Certified Professional, Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II).
