Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and products on the Enterprise Data Platform.

• Establish and advocate for engineering standards, best practices, and contemporary data engineering methodologies.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to produce high-quality data solutions.

• Ensure that data platforms and pipelines are dependable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership through solution design, coding, and peer evaluations.

• Serve as the senior escalation point for intricate data engineering and platform issues.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of Data Engineers.

• Promote automation, AI-driven engineering practices, and operational efficiencies throughout the data ecosystem.

• Assist in transitioning innovative data use cases into scalable, production-ready solutions.

• Play a role in significant data platform transformation and migration efforts across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Data Engineering position, delivering scalable data solutions within production environments.

• Strong proficiency in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform.

• Practical experience with modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Dagster, Airbyte, or similar.

• Comprehensive understanding of ELT/ETL, data modeling, SQL, and pipeline orchestration.

• Experience in implementing data quality, testing, monitoring, and performance optimization practices.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support Data Engineers while providing hands-on technical guidance.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• A collaborative, delivery-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for high-quality data solutions.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, AI-driven engineering, or large-scale global enterprise data environments is a plus.
