Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the complete data engineering workflow

• Design, construct, and sustain the data infrastructure

• Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to guarantee data accuracy and reliability

• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers

• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and fulfill data requirements

• Develop data pipelines for extensive and intricate data sets

• Establish data security and privacy measures

• Monitor and enhance the performance of data systems

• Keep abreast of emerging trends in the field of data engineering

• Offer technical and professional development opportunities for junior data engineers

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of experience in ICT Analysis, Architecture & Design

• Educational background in information technologies - Master's degree

• IT Technical Skills: Python - expert level

• Proficient in NoSQL/SQL databases - expert level

• Experience with Spark - intermediate level

• Familiarity with Hadoop - intermediate level

• Expertise in Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) - advanced level

• Knowledge of Kafka - advanced level

• Proficient in ETL/ELT processes - advanced level

• Experience with Data Warehouse - advanced level

• Expertise in Big Data - advanced level

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, presentation skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to innovate

• Additional skills: team management, project management, and agile methodology

• Proficient in English - advanced (C1)

• Proficiency in German - an advantage

• A Master's or PhD degree in a technical discipline
