Lead Data Engineer – Advertising

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance high-throughput, low-latency data infrastructure that links cloud data lakes and warehouses to dynamic AI backends and real-time agentic workflows.

• Transform static data repositories into active context layers, vector engines, and memory systems for autonomous AI agents and downstream applications.

• Create real-time ingestion, event-driven streaming, and retrieval pipelines, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector stores, and operational databases.

• Set data architecture standards, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, documentation, and data quality best practices.

• Mentor data engineering professionals.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers, Product teams, Creative Directors, and agency stakeholders.

• Convert client and business needs into production-ready data APIs and schemas.

• Utilize AI-driven coding, agentic engineering, and contemporary automated workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Proven experience in designing, constructing, and scaling data pipelines and cloud infrastructure from the ground up.

• Demonstrated ability in activating data infrastructure for dynamic, real-time downstream applications.

• Experience in developing data layers for real-time, event-driven applications.

• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, or pgvector.

• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) at scale.

• Strong experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure platforms.

• Proficient in Snowflake, Databricks, and/or BigQuery.

• Advanced skills in Python and SQL.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, agentic coding, and automated engineering workflows.

• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Must be located in Latin America.

• Fluent in English.
