Lead Data Engineer – Advertising

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and scale high-throughput, low-latency data infrastructure.

• Integrate cloud data lakes and warehouses with dynamic AI backends and real-time agentic workflows.

• Transform static data repositories into active context layers, vector engines, and memory systems.

• Create real-time ingestion, event-driven streaming, and retrieval pipelines.

• Establish standards for data architecture, CI/CD, documentation, and best practices in data quality.

• Provide mentorship to data engineers.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers, Product teams, Creative Directors, and agency stakeholders.

• Convert client and business requirements into production-grade data APIs and schemas.

• Utilize AI-driven coding, agentic engineering, and contemporary automated workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Proven track record in designing, constructing, and scaling data pipelines and cloud infrastructure from the ground up.

• Experience in activating data infrastructure for dynamic, real-time downstream applications.

• Background in building data layers for real-time, event-driven applications.

• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, or pgvector.

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) at scale.

• Strong expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, agentic coding, and automated engineering workflows.

• Proven history of mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Residing in Latin America.

• Fluent in English.
