This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Accountable for the design, construction, and management of the organization's data infrastructure.
• Develop the framework for the collection, storage, processing, and utilization of data, ensuring it is accessible, reliable, and secure.
• Generate and uphold documentation regarding database architecture, procedures, and standards.
• Formulate and execute a holistic data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that illustrate the structure and interrelationships of data within the organization.
• Establish and maintain the comprehensive data architecture framework, which includes databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and other data systems.
• Develop and apply data mapping rules to convert data from source systems to target systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Design and implement processes for integrating data from multiple sources, guaranteeing consistency and accuracy.
• Set up data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and HIPAA compliance across all data systems and platforms.
• Assess and recommend data management technologies and tools that cater to the organization's data requirements.
• Identify and resolve data-related challenges, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Create and implement architectures that effectively integrate AI models and algorithms with existing data infrastructures.
• At least 7 years of experience in enterprise data architecture.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years in database engineering/management is required.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, SDLC, CI/CD, GitHub).
• Over 7 years of experience working with data sources (e.g., APIs) and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud databases.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies including Azure (Data Factory, Databricks) and AWS.
• Strong understanding of industry best practices — code coverage.
• In-depth knowledge of database concepts, data modeling techniques, system performance analysis and tuning, as well as data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in various operating systems such as Linux, Unix, and Windows.
• Capability to write complex queries and perform advanced database operations using SQL.
